Clown loaches, scientific name Chromobotia macracanthus, are a colorful species of tropical freshwater fish from Indonesia. The nickname “clown” is two-fold. First, clown loaches have an orange coloring with stripes similar to the typical clown fish (subfamily Amphiprioninae within the family Pomacentridae).
